- 1 cup shortening or butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup raisins or dried cherries or dried blueberries or dried figs all cut up

Oatmeal Cookies
This is a great Oatmeal cookie recipe. I like to play around with the dried fruits a bit. I especially love to put my cousin's dried cherries in the mix. Enjoy
